Artūrs Čukurs is a Latvian theatre deviser, performer and musician who has studied music at Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music and the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, as well as directing for object and devised theatre at the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (DAMU). By working with sound, objects and materiality, in his works he inquires the relationships between the human, spaces and things in order to seek for different ways how to relate to the world around and within.
